Sonya is the Founder and President of Financially Fierce, LLC. Prior to starting Financially Fierce and for more than a decade, Sonya was the highly successful managing attorney of the Valentine Legal Group, LLC where she helped clients win over a half a million dollars in damages for issues with credit reports, debt collection and identity theft. Sonya is also on the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union, a financial institution with over $165 million in assets. Sonya previously worked as an accountant for strong financial companies like American Express, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Deloitte & Touché. Sonya received her Juris Doctorate law degree from Brooklyn Law School and earned her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Villanova University.
Sonya has been teaching people how to be smarter with their money for years. As a financial expert, she has spoken around the country and taught thousands of people through live events. Sonya delivers presentations to companies, universities and at conferences, including for the FBI, American Express and the University of Maryland.
