Rachana Bhatt joined Barclays in 2013, with nearly 20 years of marketing and branding experience. Currently, she serves as Managing Director of the Branded Card Business segment as part of the Barclays US Digital Consumer Bank. She oversees Barclaycard Arrival, Barclaycard CashForward, Barclaycard Rewards, and Juniper business lines. All told, these businesses represent $6B in outstandings and 2MM customers – 25% of Barclaycard U.S.
Before joining the organization, Rachana was with the card division of J. P. Morgan Chase for five years. There, she was head of Chase Slate strategy, acquisitions, branding, and positioning.
Prior to Chase, Rachana spent time with Capital One Financial Corporation in McLean, VA. During her eight-year stint, she held roles as director of Deposits and Home Loans, and she was a Group Manager in National Brand Planning and US card Innovation. She was instrumental in building a world-class Capital One brand through the introduction of the flagship No Hassle Platinum card – through a $100+ million media launch.
Early in her career, Rachana held brand management positions with Campbell Soup Company and Procter & Gamble. During her time with Campbell Soup, she was a brand manager, new business development and innovation, and led several of the company’s major products. While at Procter & Gamble, she worked on flagship brands such as Pantene shampoos and Secret deodorant.
Rachana holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She also earned dual degrees in B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School as well as a B.S.E. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
